Tasker is a network based computer system for the allocation of tasks to members of a team and the monitoring of their progress. A database holds details of team members and tasks. A web site provides access to the database by managers for the creation, allocation and monitoring of tasks, while a Java desktop application can be used by team members to receive task details and allow the reporting of progress and completion of tasks

I designed the front-end website for a mock hotel comparison site. The website is built upon the foundation of Ben Shneiderman's "8 Golden Rules of Interface Design" from the book "Designing the User Interface: Strategies for Effective Human-Computer Interaction". The website had to handle three different levels of user (Administrator, Advertiser and Traveller), and provide each with the necessary functions to carry out their tasks. A project incorporating R and Microsoft Excel and using statistics pulled from football tracking websites, I apply statistical analysis theorems to calculate odds and compare them to odds being offered by bookmakers to determine whether a bet has a positive expected value

A Java application which generates a 20x20 grid, randomly generating ten events over the coordinates of the grid. Events have up to five tickets available up to a maximum price of $400. The user inputs a pair of coordinates and the system returns the five nearest events in ascending order calculated by the Manhattan distance, displaying the cheapest ticket available

This static webpage was built as a simple showcase for my portfolio. It uses several BootStrap CSS elements for easy maintenance, as well as custom JavaScript functions for a more streamlined user experience
